The location has its charm, perfect for a stroll through picturesque surroundings. Opening the window allowed us to enjoy that classic Cotswolds fresh air, which really enhanced the atmosphere in our tiny room.
Access to our "Classic double" was a real adventure with the steep, uneven staircase and low ceilings. The room itself felt cramped. my head took a few hits on the doorframe, and the bed was noticeably short which made for some restless nights. Breakfast choices were limited, and the poached eggs on sourdough I ordered should have been better executed. At £278 for two nights, the value didn’t exactly match what we experienced.

We stayed in the Deluxe Suite, which was pretty charming but definitely had a quirky layout. It felt cozy with its unique decor, and the bed was comfy enough. That said, the space was a bit cramped, and the bathroom could've used a little more room. Some parts of the suite felt a tad outdated but added to the overall character. Not bad for a quick stay!

Had a lovely birthday dinner celebration here, and the food was delicious with a cozy vibe. I enjoyed the relaxing garden and outdoor seating area after my meal. The only bummer was the mattress could have been more comfortable, but I’d still recommend it for a great night out! 🎉

The food at the restaurant was exceptional, particularly the freshly prepared breakfast and the remarkable 'Pie of the Day. ' Service was friendly and engaging, making our stay truly enjoyable. the stairs might prove challenging for anyone with mobility issues, and there was slight delay in food service during peak times. the lack of sufficient lighting in the dressing area was a minor inconvenience.

Couple looking for a tranquil escape
Arrived to a warm welcome from the staff who really made it feel like home, special mention to Riley, he was always smiling. The bed was super comfy and the food was excellently cooked, best lamb burger I’ve ever had.
It wasn’t exactly economical but definitely worth it.
